    Abstract£ºObjective£ºTo study the effect of a diterpenoid compound 5F(ent-11¦Á-hydroxy-15-oxo-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid)isolated from Pteris semipinnata L(P.s L) on aggregation of rabbit platelets induced by thrombin.Methods£ºSuspensions of platelets were incubated with 5 F for 1 min,and then with thrombin(500 U/L) for 5 min platelet aggregation was analysed by aggregometer.Results£º5 F had inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation.Conclusion£ºA diterpenoid compound 5 F isolated from P.s L has anti-platelet activity.
